Surrogacy Process
We guide you through your process from start to finish, providing full support
- Medical and healthcare knowledge: Aimed at providing information and guidance on the most suitable assisted reproduction treatments for each case, references to assisted reproduction clinics in the destination countries, as well as the ability to resolve questions that may arise throughout the process, such as the suitability of donors or surrogates from a medical standpoint or regarding the progress of the pregnancy.
- Insurance knowledge: The insurance sector is one of the main pillars to consider in a surrogacy process, requiring the necessary experience to avoid unexpected medical costs throughout the process, with particular importance placed on having the required coverage for the newborn.
- Legal knowledge: The main concern for families is to carry out their processes in countries with full legal guarantees, ensuring that the rights of all parties involved are respected. Respect for the rights of the surrogate and the recognition of the newborn as the sole child of the commissioning parents is vital. For this reason, each case must be handled individually and personally, which is a key feature of our services.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE HEALTHCARE, LEGAL, AND INSURANCE FIELDS ENABLE US TO ADVISE BOTH FAMILIES AND AGENCIES AND TO COORDINATE SURROGACY PROCESSES IN A COMPREHENSIVE AND HOLISTIC MANNER IN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES WHERE THESE PRACTICES ARE LEGAL.
Surrogacy
Process
Surrogacy involves different phases and requires the support of trusted providers and professionals to minimize risks:
Medical and psychological assessment of the intended parents, as well as evaluation of the reasons for choosing surrogacy.
Selection of the country and the appropriate treatment based on marital status, sexual orientation, budget, needs, and expectations.
Selection of the assisted reproduction clinic, which will be responsible for the fertility treatment, including embryo creation and the evaluation of potential surrogates.
Selection of an agency in the destination country, responsible for finding a surrogate and coordinating the entire process. However, some families prefer independent matching, which is also possible, though it involves certain risks that must be evaluated depending on the destination.
Selection of a lawyer in the destination country, who will draft the contracts with the surrogate and handle the parentage judgment (when applicable, depending on the country).
Support throughout the process and pregnancy. Since surrogacy is not legal in Spain, it is essential to have proper legal oversight of all documents and stages, as well as specialized guidance regarding the insurance required at each step.
Preparation for travel, ensuring all necessary legal documentation from Spain is gathered for the procedures required in the destination country to obtain recognition and legalization of the newborn.
Returning home as soon as possible, as families wish to go back to their home country shortly after the birth. We guarantee the minimum stay required in each destination so families can return home with their newborns as soon as possible.
Legal procedures in Spain, which will depend on the country where the treatment was performed and will conclude with the full legal recognition of the newborn as the child of the intended parents.
Each process involves significant work across the medical, legal, and insurance fields, requiring strong relationships with experienced and trustworthy professionals in surrogacy.
The key to success lies in having high-quality professional services, extensive experience, and solid legal support that ensure a transparent and lawful process—while never forgetting the human side, where respect and care throughout the journey are an absolute must.
If you are interested in building a family through surrogacy, we can guide you and handle all the procedures: From choosing the destination country to the complete legal registration of your newborn in Spain.
